Mamaskatch: A Cree Coming of Age by Darrel J. McLeod

challenging dark reflective sad tense medium-paced

3.25

a heavy memoir that bared the soul of Darrel and his family. It contains a lot of pain and reflection and knowledge I didn't have about indigenous Cree folks in Canada. It also was choppy and hard to follow in some parts, and there were sections that didn't match the evocative writing of the beginning.
