Having been introduced to Fern Brady in a mixed line up at the Melbourne International Comedy Fest in 2022, I was excited to see that she had written an autobiography. This is a no-holds-barred account of Brady’s life growing up in Bathgate as an undiagnosed autistic girl. She writes about her experience so well that unmasks autistic behaviours in a way for neurotypicals to understand. This is a generous book from a remarkable woman.

Oh, and if you can, read this as an audiobook. You simply must read this from Fern’s voice.
