We love when a book is able to connect different points in history. We love strong female characters who don’t give a F. We love queer characters just living their lives.
And. We don’t need or want a stereotypical g**** curse in 2024. I was disheartened. Even if it was a “oh people were treated like this historically” then AT LEAST our fiery b@d@$$ Alice would have had something to say about it - you know she would have. Soooo
