Bulletproof
by Xavier Neal

Coming July 22nd!
Blake Rothwell is the head of tactical creations in Haworth, one of the largest multifaceted operations. Being successful means gaining enemies who’ll try to hurt her. When her brother learns about a threat to kidnap his sister, he acts immediately.
Bronx takes his job seriously. Protecting clients means putting your life on the line, doing whatever it takes to keep them safe. And no complications. Being the one chosen to protect Blake will put his professionalism to the test.

The attraction between the two is instant, but this isn’t about their feelings, it’s about Blake’s safety.
Action and danger are clear from the very first chapter, which in a way prepares you for more to come. Blake is a snarky character and Bronx isn’t afraid of giving some snark back. Blake is super smart and sometimes she would go on and on about something and I’m almost tempted to skip the rest of her dialogue only to find out it’s her way of getting to the point, making this book enjoyable and educational.

Xavier Neal has a unique way of writing. At first, you can see in her words how both characters were trying to stay detached from each other, like calling the other a bodyguard or a client. She brilliantly makes you feel the emotions each is struggling with. This is my first book of hers and I can’t wait to read more. It’s a brilliant, fast paced read that captivates readers who enjoy steamy romantic suspense filled with action, a few sprinkles of humor, and a little taste for fake relationships.
