To Snap a Silver Stem
by Sarah A. Parker
I think I hate this book. Not just for the ending, but for the sporadic way that things are explained so nothing makes sense.
First, I didn't understand my Rhordyn would push her away and then act like he loved her. Is it seriously just an obsession for her blood? We finally got to learn more about what he is, but not enough about the relationship with Aeshlians.
Orlaith is a child and frustratingly stupid. She may be 21 years old, but she acts like a 15-year-old having a super temper tantrum. She just wants Rhordyn to suffer for her obsession, and everyone else I think. Every once in a while, she went on about 'her people' but I don't think she really cares about them either, or she wouldn't have done what she did at the end.
I have never read about so much spewing in a book. At least every couple of chapters someone is doing it. Annoying.
I have to read the last book just to find out if we actually learn anything about this world. I didn't understand the chapters with Kai. Was that just so the author could throw in a sex scene?? Pointless.

I was disgusted by her screwing that guy to somehow hurt everyone else while claiming it was empowering. What a load of crap. Sadly I think we have lots of teens doing that, and bit by bit they end up with mental health issues. I guess it is topical, but a bit too modern for this world.I have never read about so much spewing in a book. At least every couple of chapters someone is doing it. Annoying.
