I don’t wish to offend anyone and I apologize to readers who loved this. However, I’m not sure what the author’s purpose was in writing this story. Was it to inform us about the hardships and causes of illegal immigration or to share politics of Central and South American countries or to glorify breaking the law by covering up a crime and protecting the killer or did she write about finding love later in life? I was completely perplexed and underwhelmed. Not recommendable. 1.5 stars.
