Make It Sweet by Kristen Callihan

4.0

Probably more like 3.5 stars.

If you’re going to enjoy this book, you’ve got to love it for what it is – a sugary sweet grumpy-meets-sunshine story.

There will be times you read lines like "the tight globes of his bubble butt moving like poetry" and question your sanity, and that's just how it's going to be. This is above all else a romance, and it's best enjoyed if you can just embrace the ooey-gooey, tooth-achingly-sweet parts of it upfront.

The characters are fun. I came to really care for Lucian, the burly former hockey player, and Emma, who used to play Queen Daenerys Princess Anya. They're great characters, and honestly, the only real things that drive this entire novel.

I do agree with other reviews - the first 75% of this book is easy to get through and well-paced. However, the last 25% does drag a little bit, which is probably the main reason I would give Make It Sweet 3.5 stars if I could.

Long story short, this book is probably exactly what you think it is – and that can be a great thing or a bad thing, depending on your opinion of bubble butts and the like.
