On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta
5.0
It's times like these when I wish I was a better reviewer. My review won't do this book justice. But I don't think even the best review would express how amazing this book is.
I'll admit, it took me awhile to get into it, partially because I was so confused. But as I started to figure things out, I started to get more and more into it. Then I got so into it I couldn't put it down. I started feeling the feelings all the characters felt. I felt joy, hope, sadness, despair, happiness, and love. I laughed and I definitely cried.
Marchetta has a real gift of writing books that make you think and drag you right into the story.
I may be young but I've read a lot of books, and I can honestly say this is one of the best books I've ever read. Definitely one of my favorites.
