I don't think I have ever cried while reading a book as much as I did when I read this one... but I also laughed enough to make it totally worth it. I was touched by Marley, and know all too well about the love of a dog. John Grogan gets it, and Marley was life-changing in many ways. I read this book many years ago, but distinctly remember finishing it in the middle of the night because I could NOT put it down, and then bawling like a baby when I finished. My mother was alarmed and asked me what was wrong. I had no words! If you're a dog lover, this book will resonate with you, but be prepared for the water works. It's definitely a keeper though, and a classic for animal lovers. I will never forget it.
