Big Nick Energy by Morgan Elizabeth

4.0

Big Nick Energy is a sweet and steamy holiday romance featuring he falls first and harder, reverse grumpy x sunshine, single parent, cowboy, and age gap tropes. The story follows Shae, a recently divorced woman who is putting her life back together after leaving her abusive husband. Focused on keeping her two young daughters happy and healthy is enough on her plate; but when she spends Thanksgiving at her friends' house and his father, Nick, brings up elf on the shelf to her impressionable girls, Nick and Shae are forced to work together to bring seasonal magic to her household.

Nick, Nick, Nick! I could write a whole review solely about Nick and how sweet he was to Shae and her girls. The man was absolutely devoted to her and making her life easier, the way he was patient but assertive when need be was so swoony. I think he did more things for her in the month they knew each other than any other romance MC I've read before. I loved how kind, understanding, and heartfelt he was about everything he did, the romance and the fact that there was no miscommunication or third-act breakup just fit his character so well. Overall, this is a very cute and cozy holiday romance, while there wasn't much happening plot-wise, I feel like most holiday romances are about the vibes and let me tell you the vibes were great in this book.
