Bit of a mixed bag, most of the anecdotes were super interesting but of course there were some duds as well. Turned into sort of an eclectic history of 21st century science, with lots of great bios about interesting people and eventful lives. Especially interesting for the chapter on the mixing of politics and science and the many stories that illustrate how life has its way of interfering with (and helping!) the objective business of science. I found myself not wanting to pick it back up and start reading again, maybe because of the format, which was essentially a series of short, linked essays.
