Six Crimson Cranes
by Elizabeth Lim
this fairytale retelling was a fun read with likable characters, delicate and heartwarming moments between the characters. A really cool feeling of mimsy it gives me a strong studio ghibli vibes. what i didn't like about this book is :
- Seryu, I’m disappointed that he doesn’t really feature much in the book. He gives Shiori a few magic lessons here and there
- Same as her brothers. I wish we got a bit more focus on them since it's called "Six Crimson Cranes"
- I did find it a little predictable. The author revealed hints a little too clearly which is why the rating is not a full 5 stars.
