The Genesis Wars by Akemi Dawn Bowman

5.0

As I started reading this book I couldn’t quite remember where the last one left off (why don’t books have recaps like tv series do?), but now I’m literally so invested and so enveloped in this world and this story and these people all over again. And now I have to wait another year for the next book?!? Pretty rude if you ask me (/lh).
And so much story and lore and secrets were unlocked in this one, which was so cool and surprising (although now that I’m remembering the previous book it really shouldn’t have been lol), and then yet another twisty tworl near the end, which I’m like bruhhhh but also I’m obsessed.
And the way Nami kept developing her abilities throughout this book was really cool to see, like her veiling and consciousness stuff was so cool. I also really loved the connections Nami formed in this book, with Kasia and Nix and Zahrah (and Shura again). And I’m glad Caelan was on her side all along (or so it turned out question mark).
