Holes by Louis Sachar

5.0

“As Stanley stared at the glittering night sky, he thought there was no place he would rather be.”

What a timeless story. Sachar's storytelling and seamless weaving of two distinct narratives kept me so engrossed I couldn’t put the book down. The full circle moment at the end of the book where everything finally makes sense and falls into place wow…

I remember watching the movie as a teen and years later I decided to read the book. The camaraderie and bond that develops among Stanley and Zero really endeared my heart.

"Holes" asks readers to think about the concept of fate, the consequences of one’s choices, and the power of redemption.

"Holes" is a classic work of literature and is a must-read.
