Fight Club
by Chuck Palahniuk
"The first rule of Fight Club is you dont talk about Fight Club. The second rule of Fight Club is you dont talk about Fight Club."
Fight Club is a story of an insomniac guy, whose life was perfect but he is just so tired with his daily routines until he met...Tyler Durden. These two guys were the ones who established the Club and it subsequently evolves into dangerous physical challenges and anarchial violence within the society.
I like how this book portrays a 'perfect' life doesnt necessarily gives you happiness. The endless striving only for material goods doesnt guarantee you happiness. This book is greatly written and it managed to elucidate the underlying messages of life. I, sometimes saw myself right there within the pages, living and contemplating with the protagonist, what is the very purpose of life. This is my first Palahniuk's book and surely, it wont be my last.
