Thinner by Richard Bachman
3.0

For me, this is a Bachman book, signed by King.
It's a great Bachman. No good guys, all are guilty and the "bad guys" win.
Well, as any Bachman, no one wins.
It's a depressing story, where everyone loses.
I was a skinny guy most of my life, so it doesn't scare me much. But the sense of desperation hit the spot for me.
I felt very, VERY bad as I saw his descent into the cynical and anguish... kinda my daily job.
But all in all, I found the book not satisfying.
I was more interested in Ginelli and the gypsies than Billy himself.
That's a flaw I saw in King: his leading characters are always a bore to me.
With the exception being Roland, but that's a different story, since I HATE the DT end...
