I had to DRAG myself away from Poppy and Casteel because stopping to switch series at 💔that💔 part of the story was so cruel of JLA.

But once I stopped weeping and actually allowed myself to get into this book I was so into it. That is not to say I didn’t spend a lot of time confused as hell and wondering why some characters are so similar and why things have different names but seem the same as in Blood and Ash.

I’m guessing I need to just trust the process right? It’ll all make sense in the end RIGHT? 🥺

Also I have never read a book where the all-powerful shadow daddy has his v-card and gets deflowered by the more experienced FMC so that was a cool flip of the dynamic #womeninmalefields

Please someone tell me it’s normal to be a bit lost in this series after book one and it won’t be the same as I go along?
