Das Ende der Bücher by Octave Uzanne

reflective slow-paced

2.5

Frankly, kinda boring.

I enjoy the effort that was put into designing this edition, it looks like the perfect gift for book lovers which is undoubtedly why it was given to me.

It's certainly fascinating how Uzanne was able to predict the existence of audiobooks in a time long before even the cassette existed.

The afterword adds some useful context as well and I mean it's short so I don't exactly regret reading it...
but i don't think i would recommend it to anyone unless they specifically express that they want to read about a mind excercise at an after party that accidentally predicted audio books.

If you're curious about the content of this little book, gift it to a trusted book lover friend and have them recount the content to you. That's less boring and takes only 10% of the time that it takes to actually read it.
