A Stroke of the Pen: The Lost Stories
by Terry Pratchett
This was such a lovely and much-needed distraction during a particularly difficult period.
As a long-time Pratchett fan, I found it fascinating to read his earliest works, and see hints of all the greatness that was to come. There were so many early versions of ideas that would eventually make it into the Discworld series, and it was really refreshing and heartwarming to hear his voice again.
And, as a bonus, during some very dark moods this book still managed to make me laugh out loud.
They're not the most amazing stories in and of themselves, but if you go into this book with an awareness of what it actually is, then you can find some great enjoyment within it.
