Emotionally taxing, but I’m laughing too. The narrator’s youth makes you bawl at every new turn of events; he doesn't fully grasp the mental/ social struggles of his bizarre yet unarguably brave parents. With an ending that kills, this book is like poisoned cotton candy. Read it thrice, and cried each time— happy cries and full blown sobs
