Similar ish vibes to The Dry written by the same author. Slow paced, lots of descriptions of the Australian setting and character motivations were kind of clumsy? I did the audiobook for this one and the narrator had a monotone voice causing me to shift the speed to 1.25/1.5 to keep me engaged. If I do pick up another of Jane Harper’s books, I might need to physically read instead of listen.
