This was an amazing read. It hooked me in first with a peculiar protagonist- one who’s a sloth, who doesn’t really care that she’s a witch and that she has magic but later, the plot won me over. So much plot was packed into hardly 450 pages which most authors stretch into a series.
I liked that the magic system was not limited to a rule book and that it can run wild. This may irk some readers but I loved all the moments of the magic use.
The world building was stunning. It was so immersive and made the story infinitely better.
I was definitely not into Dragon+Agniezska in the beginning but by the end I wanted more of their moments.
I wanted to read a good fantasy stand-alone but now I’m sad that this is not a series and that I won’t get to read more of this world.
