This book is pretty cheesy, but so is TNG's early seasons. My biggest beef is the writing, the characters all sounded the same, and they used language that didn't match their characters on the show. Putting words like "sketchy" and "hellhole" into Data's lexicon is just weird. But it was kind of fun to read.
