Tell me you love Avatar: TLA without telling me you love A: TLA
But seriously, I enjoyed the heck out of this! The magic system is ripped straight out of A: TLA, but that’s not a bad thing. At its core, this is a novel about the fight for suffrage in a 19th-century Egyptian analogue, with lots of great drama, super dynamic characters, juicy political intrigue, and villains who are easy to hate. The ending felt a bit sudden, but it’s all set up for Book 2 to begin with bang. Easy to recommend for fantasy fans!
