Starting from Scratch by Stacy Gail

Really excellent holiday short novel that had me tearing up more than once. Packed quite the emotional punch.

Lucy is a baker and her ex-husband Sullivan is back in town. Sullivan can't figure out why he's constantly craving cookies, and feels panic when Lucy walks away from him. He has amnesia from a brain injury suffered in combat, and he was the one who wanted the divorce. His amnesia only involves her -- he can remember his father, and combat buddies but not their marriage. As many times as I've seen amnesia used in soap operas, this felt very real, and resonated.
