This one was a struggle for me. I was 75% through it and I wanted to dnf it so badly. But I knew I couldn't because it was for summer reading.
Don't get me wrong, the first 37% was good, but it just went downhill from there.
This really isn't my type of book in the first place. Since we're constantly reading and learning about WW2 it gets tiring to me after a while.
Also, I'm not a super religious person. I'm not unreligious, but I'm not crazy about it either, so that was another factor about this book that I didn't enjoy.
I thought the writing was beautiful though. It was a well written story, but it's just not my type of story.
