Youth sci-fi has been way too populated with dystopias and has far too few spaceships trying to eliminate their humans. Jinks' new book tries to rectify that imbalance. Super gross, full of mucus and slime and mechanical-turned-to-biological (with more than a few gory deaths) this is a fabulous adventure for sixth graders and beyond.
