I really enjoyed this book as a Mega-Fan of Halo 3: 

ODST, for the people who listened or read it that complain about the "cringy" writing/dialogue, I'd suggest replaying that game and maybe you'd also realize that it captures Nathan Fillion's archetypal character very well. Hearing the events of the game from a first person pov was nice as well, but for anyone who played it that section of the book was filler.
