Verity by Colleen Hoover

5.0

So I finished Verity at one sitting. This is my first Colleen Hoover book & I'm happy that I chose this one.

Verity is a thriller suspense novel & my mind is messed up after reading this. I attach the synopsis in the comments so that you can get a simple idea about the book if you haven't already read it.

So the book had a good start and flowed flawlessly and ended with a huge plot twist which was also perfect. Usually I don't read thrillers , but this one was something perfect. The messed up characters & the dark plot were perfectly entwined to deliver the story to the readers with mini heart attacks here and there.
Sometimes I just couldn't continue reading cuz if you've read this , you should know which parts I'm talking about.

Possible spoilers below

I think the manuscript is cointaing the truth.

1) Eventhough she tells that she wrote the manuscript in order to improve her writing from an antagonistic pov , Jeremy has also suspected her dual treatments for the twins. That is SUSPICIOUS. - 10 points to manuscript

2) She says that she asked Crew to hold his breathe before the canoe toppled because she thought that Harper knew how to protect herself. But would an instinct of a true mother would care for one child more than the other at an emergency despite the different capabilities and strengths of the children? If the letter held the truth , shouldn't she have ordered both her kids to hold their breathe? - 10 points to manuscript

3) Will a mother be able to even imagine all those abusive crimes the Verity in the manuscript did if the letter  was true ? - 10 points to manuscript

4) The faking of pregnancy & conceiving in a canoe seems apparent. So that she named the baby Canoe. - 10 points to manuscript

Finally , the manuscripts wins.
