The writing is not great. Some words were incorrect and the sentence structure was wrong. I think it may be the author's first book, so I guess I should give them some slack. It needed editing.
It was overly dramatic, soap opera-ish. The staring, the fact Morana refers to the MC as 'Tristan Caine' every single time. How the car supposably blows up from a single gunshot to the gas tank when that doesn't happen in real life.
There were moments when I was fully in the story. The flashback when Tristan was a kid was one and the last scene in the rain unfortunately makes me want to read the second book. I wasn't going to before then.
The worst analogy "She was more attached to her appendix than she was this house". LMAO
I would hope so since her appendix is literally attached to her body.
