For a sequel this one started off on a strange note and took awhile to get back on track for me. By the time I started enjoying the book again, it was basically over.
Cyndi and friends are once again pulled into the water park where they face the masked killer for the final time! I enjoyed the scenes focused on Cyndi, Johnny, and Christie who were characters introduced in book 2. I like their dynamic and was attached to them.
Unfortunately a good portion of this book has the three main characters separated, causing this long arc where they need to reunite and it really drags the pacing down. I’d say the entire middle of the book was long and drawn out in my opinion.
If you’re a Kill River fan obviously you need to read this, but I’d say it’s my least favorite in the trilogy even though the conclusion was very good!
