I requested access to a digital ARC of Wildful from the publishers through my work connections.

I LOVED this so much! The illustrations are gorgeous and detailed and the text in the graphic novel is used very sparingly. The results were that I could imagine the sounds of being in nature with Poppy and Rob as they explore, look, listen, and connect with the wild.

Using nature, slowing down, reconnecting with the world around you, as a way to work through mental health issues, like depression after the loss of a loved one can be such a vital strategy. I loved seeing Poppy find wild joy and sharing it with her mother. Definitely wept at the ending.
