I didn't think I was going to like this one as much as I did. It's not my usual genre. I was genuinely unsettled through most of it. The atmosphere was cold and isolating, and I was on the edge of my seat jumping POVs every chapter. The mystery was genuinely good to follow and you could pick up some pieces on your own, but others were jump scares. The ending was good, wrapped up nicely with enough of an open end to make things interesting. However, I could have done without that particular open end. I even got emotional at one point. This certainly makes you run the gambit of emotions at times. Would recommend.
Graphic: Child death, Death
Moderate: Toxic relationship, Toxic friendship
Minor: Bullying, Child abuse
