This book is less how to and more memoir. I guess you can view it as inspiration for cleaning if you’d like. I think the sentiment to clean before you die is a good one. 

However this lost some points for me when she decided to put down an older dog (with no mention of any illnesses) because her family was moving and didn’t think they could find a suitable home for it. Just seems bonkers that a) that happened in the first place and b) it got through the editing stage. 

Also some weird rant about “young people these days” being unable to write? This was all in the last 20% of the book of so
