The Kite Runner
by Khaled Hosseini
An absolutely devastating, heartbreaking, bittersweet novel that I could not bear to put down no matter how intense the emotional rollercoaster. Hosseini touches on an array of difficult issues and I have to believe that his writing of war-torn Afghanistan are mostly accurate. I love Hosseini’s writing because there is no fluff to try and show off a large vocabulary or deep insights, but whatever he writes is an arrow to the soul and I have no choice but to feel each sentence deeply. A must read to be sure alongside Hosseini’s other works
