“I was a girl when he came for me, beautiful and treacherous, and I was a crown of pale gold in his black hair.”

Do I love creepy, groaning houses located on a cliffside, surrounded by trees, kept by a mysterious family and visited by a curious and brave heroine??? YES. "The only enemy is the sea."
This was beautiful. A story of parallels and liberation. It had my heart racing. I loved it.

“Before the ocean is friend or foe, it simply is. And so are you.”
