Dearest Rogue
by Elizabeth Hoyt
I think I may be rather in the minority as far as what I consider a favourite in this series.
In this one I really loved Phoebe and how head strong she was. Thank God someone finally stood up against Maximus (who again, did not make himself likeable).
In the earlier books James seemed to be very stalwart and black and white. In this book we finally saw another side of him. How serious he took his job as protector and how much he cared for Phoebe. Even if he did not want to admit it.
Also, the glimpses we had of his family were so great.
