The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion

4.0

I originally wanted to read this book because I was provided an early release of the second book, and I wanted to read them in order. Don Tillman is a genetics scientist who has a slightly less average approach to life. While he identifies that some of his less than social skills and strong reasoning skills can be considered on the Autism side, no clear diagnosis is given. He comes up with a list of attributes he wants in a wife in the form of a detailed questionnaire, with such meticulous detail. Rosie is looking to find her biological father since the man who raised her was seen as lacking. Don decides to help Rosie even though she is not a suitable candidate for his "Wife Project". Don's inability to be sensitive to others, and blurting out what is on his mind, gets him in plenty of trouble. Though while brutally honest, and logical to a fault he is quite an endearing character.
