Back to Boohail we go! We know our heroines of Boohail love good food and good drinks, so our story rightfully kicks off at the tavern, where Brie is just trying to enjoy herself a drink when a local shmuck can't take no for an answer. When he brings her a drink (that we did not see prepared on page, red flag girl!) and she continues to give this lech a firm and resounding "N.O." and she tried to throw it in his face, he dodges and Brie beans poor, unsuspecting Felix in the back of the head with what turns out to be a love potion. Cue a "you're my mate" imprint compounded by the love potion. And Brie just wanted to go home in peace!

Turns out, ya girl is also a romance reader like the rest of us, with an appreciation for werewolf and other monster romances. Perfect timing, since Boohail just so happens to be awash with monsters from beyond the gates! Felix is adorable, goofy, and just wants to please his new mate. When magic fails to help them find a cure for the potion, and they've just got to let it wear off on it's own, he's willing to help Brie live out any and all of her romance novel fantasies as best he can. What a gentleman good werewolf.

Oh yeah, there's also a weird cult kidnapping local women? And creepy deer skull ghouls kidnapping these women for the cult. And in classic Kimberly Lemming style, our rag-tag adventurers save the day with lots of humor, boat loads of sarcasm, and enough reluctance to make them so, so relatable.
