🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
The final installment of the never after series and it did not disappoint! This is a fun little mermaid inspired story where Venessa (Ursula) actually gets the guy! Venessa works for her Uncle who is a wealthy morally grey business owner in the south who gets whatever he wants! Enzo is the mafia prince from New York and engaged to Venessa’s cousin Aria. They aren’t supposed to fall in love but when those they think they trust betray them, they finally realize what’s important and who they should have put their trust in the whole time. I love how Emily McIntire is able to really make the reader hate the characters that you love in the original story it’s inspired by. It’s no secret that Ursula in the original Little Mermaid is a villain and isn’t who we should be rooting for but in McIntire’s reimagined version, I couldn’t imagine not rooting for her! Enzo was one of the best MMC I’ve read in a long time and I couldn’t get enough of the way he would bend over backwards for those he loved. Watching their love blossom and grow was beautiful. I absolutely adored them and I love them out loud in this lifetime! 🫶🏻
