The Math of Life and Death: 7 Mathematical Principles That Shape Our Lives by Kit Yates

5.0

There’s so much I can say about this book, but I’m sure most of my thoughts have already been covered by others. I’ll leave it at this: I picked up this book while demotivated to study for linear algebra and finished this book finding the last page to match one of the biggest headlines of today.

If you’re looking for mathematics that goes beyond simple knowledge but isn’t as intimidating as a thorough lecture, while knowing that what you’re reading is as far from abstract as possible, this is it.
