The Wondering Years: How Pop Culture Helped Me Answer Life's Biggest Questions by Knox McCoy

5.0

Couldn’t put it down. As an avid listener of the Popcast, I was excited when I received this book as a birthday gift last week authored by none other than Knox McCoy-producer of wheezy laughs, purveyor of witty anecdotes, bearer of pop cultural prowess, and hater of the Oxford comma.

I picked this up as my inaugural read of 2019 and it did not disappoint. I flew through its easy to read and captivating essays. I cried tears from both laughing too hard and the beauty of his vulnerability. I found myself thinking, I wish I were half as quick-witted and well-written as Knox. I can’t wait until he writes another one.

If you love the Popcast, read this book. If you love memoirs that aren’t trying to be anything other than what they are, a person’s look at his own life’s lessons and how he sees the world and makes sense of it, you’ll love this book!
