Winter by Marissa Meyer

5.0

Holy smokes! I've finished the book!! Ahh!!

It was so good! And man, it got really dark in some places, which I did not expect. It added an extra layer and seriousness to the goals Cinder and the crew were working towards.

Winter solidified the originality of Marissa Meyer's take on fairytale retellings for me. For about half of the book, I forgot that Winter was a retelling of Snow White. You can certainly see the main pillars that hold up Winter's character and tale, but so much of Marissa Meyer's own story already overtook the narrative.

Highly recommend everyone to check out the Lunar Chronicles!
