This was not what I expected. I didn’t think with a YA high school romance plot that it would go into so many serious topics, but still be able to keep the characters acting their age. It feels like this is how people their age might handle the things they go through. The development of their relationship is great and the trials they go through individually are rough, but make you feel so much for them.
