virginia woolf, you’re the love of my life. her ability to make the mundane extraordinary is truly astounding, and there’s so much truth and wisdom hidden in snippets of consciousness of ‘ordinary’ people. i have to write an essay about this book just to straighten out my thoughts, but even that won’t be enough. i have a feeling i’ll be thinking about lily and james and cam and the ramseys for a long time to come. this is beautiful without being art, truthful without being static. an amazing piece of work
