Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir

5.0

This book steam rolled me over and over again. The characters, the setting, the magic, I loved it all. There were a few parts that I thought were a bit of a jump/reach, but it was such fun and so compelling overall that they're very easy to get past.

It really cemented for me that I'm most interested in puzzle mysteries, rather than murder mysteries -- and it had a very good blend of both.
