The last quarter of this book is absolutely gorgeous. It’s poetic, intense, and emotional. I couldn’t put the book down. The characters are complicated. By the end, I am all in on the love story.

Spoiler: there were moments that made me very critical such as the domestic abuse. Love is complicated, but this love story is transformative for Janie, which is so important to me after dealing with such an abusive coward for a husband.
