The Road Not Taken and Other Poems by Robert Frost
2.0
Poetry isn't really my thing, and it seems Frost isn't really my poet...
The man was seriously obsessed with nature, it seems. Of course I was already familiar with the title poem, because who isn't, but I found it amusing to see him apparently regret his choice of roads a few poems in.
'I was half boring through, half climbing through
A swamp of Cedar. choked with Oil of cedar
And scurf of plants, and weary and overheated,
And sorry I ever left the road I knew,
I paused and rested on a sort of hook.' (from An Encounter)
Made me chuckle anyway.
