Spare by Prince Harry

3.0

This book wasn't nearly as explosive as the media would like you to believe.
It is very expository and real but above all, its emotional.

Prince Harry has so obviously been through a lot as a second son and he spent the majority of his formative years trying to find his way in the world.
I respect that many people believe being royal means everything is perfect and Harry makes it so abundantly clear that this is not the case. Harry suffered with PTSD, anxiety, grief, denial etc, but what makes it sadder, is that there was no real reason for allowing him to feel this way. If he had a more supportive family, a lot of his feelings could have been guided in to much more positive ways. In the same breath though, if he'd not been ignored and separated in this way, I doubt he would have become the enigmatic, brave and down to earth person that he is.
Highly disappointed in William and Kate if this is to be believed - i do believe - because there shouldnt have been anything that could come between brothers in this way. However extreme their reactions may seem, theyre perfectly believable just because of their damning silence.

Its sad that he had to go through so much trauma, basically in order to become a normal person.
I respect his bravery to speak his truth in this way and wish he and his family all the best now that they are as free as they can be, from the disgusting behaviours of his family and the media.
