House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas
5.0
Holy fucking shit.
This was absolutely everything. I'd forgotten just how well Sarah J. Maas is at tearing open my heart and leaving me to bleed, but here we are.
To start, the first 200 pages of this are incredibly slow and, while interesting, kind of hard to get through. But I'm so glad I knew that going in, because everything after the 200 page mark is incredible. I enjoyed myself so thoroughly, I cared so deeply... It has been a long time since a book as touched me like this one.
I read the last 250 pages today alone, and I sobbed through half of them. The deaths, the reunions, the emotions-- it was everything I wanted and needed and I've been crying all night.
I have absolutely no idea where the story is going to go from here, but I can't wait to find out.
